Great find and capture, the open mouth adds to it. The bird is a bit tight in the frame and could go a bit brighter for my taste. The colors look somewhat subdued.
A great pose and impressive DOF for f/7.1 help make this a very nice photo. I kind of like the crop but I agree with Axel about brightness and color. Thanks for posting!
I like the crop too, and agree with the other points. For web presentation I would add a thin black border...it would help with the pale BG conflicting with the forum's color.
Here's a repost with adjusted color balance and a boost in saturation, contrast, and brightness. Did a little work on the eye on the left too. How do you like it?
