    I figured what the heck, give it a try!

    I desaturated the entire image and then used the history brush to put the color back in the spoonbill.

    That is one way to isolate the spoon coming in !!! Not sure how it would look but might also bring the color in four or five of the shorebirds !!! Love it Darth !!!

    this is cool James. I'd take it a step further and tone the B&W for a hand tinting look. Love the pink

    Love this James! I think you have a little composition from two of the birds that are bright white - might help to subdue them a bit to make that pink pop even more.

    great idea!!!! hmmmm, i think i may steal this idea for myself. maybe we could call it restitution from a previous post we wont mention.

    does look great. agree with jules about toning down the two hotter birds as they do compete too much with the spoonie.
