I photographed this image handheld with my Canon 40D on Sanibel Island at sunset. ISO 200, F/8.0, 1/25 sec. EF 24-105mm, 28mm, Pattern Metering, Cloudy WB, Auto Exposure. Comments Welcome.

    Hi Richard,
I like your composition very much. The sunset is beautiful; filled with rich vibrant hues of orange and reds. I modified your image, by kicking up the saturation 20%, and adjusted the contrast. I also gave you a .45 degree CCW rotation on the water line...see if you like...good show...

I saw that rotation and forgot about it. I was worried that the shot was too saturated as it was, the reds and yellows were blowing out on the histogram. I like the contrast up a tad. Thanks.....

    Hi Richard,
Now that is what I call a sunset...Gus's repost takes it over the top for me - very well done!

Great re post of a sweet image !!! Would like it even better if you had moved away to make the foreground element smaller? Excellent feel and like it a lot !!

when i saw the thumbnail image, i knew exactly where this is!! i love that beach. you did a much better job than i did with this. i walked all around that thing and could never figure it out. you got some really nice light! only thing i might suggest doing after gus' repost is maybe using the gradient tool and darkening from the top down and adding a little more contrast at the same time.

    nice job, richard!!

Awesome capture Richard. Excellent composition and colors. The ccw does not bother me that much.
    Congrats,

Richard, did you use Shadow/Highlights on this image? There's a huge halo around the driftwood.

    Beautiful otherwise.

Very Pretty. I thought it was a composite because of the lighter colour around the wood. Quite beautiful.
