Hi Ramon - Gorgeous Bird - love the colours and the BG. Eye contact is great.

    Feels a little tight maybe.

    Great shot though :)

Really neat image Ramon. I wouldnt mind a bit more space and a smaller perch. But this is one sweet image as is...

Nice image with great eye contact and great color.

For curiosity sake ,exactly where was this species photo taken? I enjoy seeing image locations, to see what I'm missing.

Charles, this photo was taken at the National Park "El Palmar" in Corrientes Province, Argentina.

Ah yes-Corrientes Province--all that marsh and so hot when I was there in Spring one year. Saving grace was Miss Corrientes girls were at the pool and we practiced with gold reflectors on them.

Not been to El Palmar Park but will look it up.

Awesome bird!! I'm growing increasingly jealous of the the avifauna you have at your disposal there Ramon. Oh, the picture was great too by the way!

Very cool bird, light and BG. Another vote for a wider crop.

I absolutely agree with the comments on this image, excelent exposure (B/W birds can be a nigthmare for a correct exposure!) and a keeper for sure. Love the green BG and the colourful details of the yellow eye and blue areas in the head. Ramón it is very easy to add more room using PS (if that is OK to you, of course;)). Anyhow, images like this one makes me feel envious :D

Yes, I know Juan, I just didn't add more room because I liked the compo as it was, I probably will add some canvas after all your comments and insights, as I am not those guys who "hate" Ps, I actually think is an essential step in digital photography and if crop is Ok with me, adding a little more canvas is not an ethic issue to me either. Thank you all for your comments and critiques, comments are very welcome and critiques are very much apreciated!!
