Meet my friend Billy the spider, which calls Metro Zoo his home. Billy is always hungry; as a matter of fact, I caught up with him just moments after finishing his lunch. Billy was painted with a Nikon D70s, using a Nikkor 300mm f/4D lens with a Nikkor 1.4 T/C

    Image solution: focal length @ 420mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / white balance @ auto / AF - mode @ manual / color space @ sRGB / lighting solution - no speedlight, ambient light / ISO @ 320 / shutter speed @ 1/1250sec. – F/5.6 / exposure comp @ 0EV / tone comp @ 0 degree / hue adjustment @ +2 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / support platform - tripod assist /

    Comments greatly appreciated...

I remember Billy, I think I have his brother Bobby. I'll see if I can find him tomorrow to share.
    Very sharp Gus, excellent background.
    Good night.

    Hi Gus,
I like Billy very much indeed!! I love the graphic quality of the image and the BG is to die for...terrific control of DOF.
    Regards,
    Nicki

Nice one Gus. I like the contrast between the spider and the BG.

I like the way you have framed this. Do you crop your images at all?

    Hi Jackie,
This is full frame; no crop. I try very hard to compose in camera, with very little post processing...:)
