Not many birds to shoot around here, so this is from Metro Zoo this past Saturday.
Big crop, some hue and saturation, curves and sharpening.

Great composition, image and capture. I like the up close pose. You have very sharp details, the color rendition is in check. eye contact is dead on. congrats Oscar, a job well done...

Hi Oscar - nice one - back of the neck area looked a little dark on my screen - applied some S/H to lighten it up a bit. Sharpened the eye a tad - and did some slective colour on the bill.

    Nice shot.

HI Oscar ...... if there are no birds why not go into insects  I was told there were lots of them at Anhinga :D not to mention amphibians :)

Good looking duck and do like the selected crop MIght clone the lighter areas in the bg drawing attention. Re post does enhance the image !!! Excellent !!!

    Hi Oscar,
This is one sweet image and the repost just brings out the colours even more! No birds here either - at least we don't have quite so many intimidating crawly things over here, although I can confirm that Swedish mosquitos are definitely man-eating...!!!
BTW we saw the sun briefly today - had almost forotten what it looks like...
    Regards,
    Nicki

nice compo, oscar!! good looking bird. lance's repost does make it pop a little better. i'm thinking that an alligator sitting on the walkway is just begging to be photographed. why not move in close and try to get a reflection in his eyeball!!:D:D what, are you chicken!!:p
