    Hi Folks:
This is a very simple composite. Opened Single “Raven” on white background, pressed “C” (Crop) and cropped Raven quite close, full size 750 x 636 px. Renamed it. Saved the crop on workspace deleted original photo. I then Clicked File>New, changed measurement to pixels, and used 2016W – 1460H, Background white, Clicked OK. In workspace I used View 50% on background and cropped Raven. With Raven selected I pressed “V” (move) and dragged Raven to lower left area of background. I then resized Raven 10% smaller, pressed “V” and moved it to center of background. I then resized Raven again 10% smaller, pressed “V” and moved it to top right portion of background.
With 3 Raven’s all on background and each listed in its own Layer I fine tuned their positions, clicked reverse pyramid on top of layer display, then clicked “Flatten Image.” Then made minor adjustments in Curves & USM. Uncle Gus

Excellent Gus !!! Simple and effective !!! I like the diagonal placement and scale reduction Nice touches. Bird wise would have tried lightening a bit but those guys are tough !!!

Appreciate the detail steps !!! :)

This is really neat- what a process!! These things tend to get elaborate, don't they...even the simplest ones. Like the 2nd post, lightened.

    Hi Folks:
Thanks for all your comments. should have lightened it in the first place without the nudge from Al, though he is always there with good tips.I reopened it in CS3, clicked black& white adjustment icon on the bottom line of Layers window, clicked Curves>clicked Preset down arrow>Lighter (RGB) then pressed up arrow a couple of times to lighten a bit more (Pressing down arrow will darken it) Click OK . . .

Cindy, I liked your Composite, but fell in love with your painting, showed them to my wife and she too loved them.

    Keep smiling

    Uncle Gus
