    Default Elegance...Black-winged Stilt

One of my favorite species taken last summer at Vransko lake(Croatia)....
I waited laying on my belly for egrets and this beauty just walked in my frame ,it was few hours after storm and the light was perfect.I was so exited that I forget to turn camera in vertical position so this is crop from horizontal :(...amateur mistake....but we learn every day...aren't we?
I like double x shapes created by legs and wings.

    20D+ 100-400@350mm ....f/6.3, 1/400 s, ISO 400,-0.33 eV , bean bag on rocky beach.

    Kind regards.
    Marko

    Hi Marko,

I like this image. I wish that it was just a touch brighter but the composition and colors are gorgeous. Nicely done.

Oh, this is lovely. Looks like a juvenile. The crossed legs, the soft light, the sweet background colors, and the razor sharp face are all great. Later and love, artie

This is excellent. Great pose, angle, light and BG. If you clone, I would remove the two brown spots at the lower left and right side.

Fantastic image Marco. Last year I took a similar images but unfortunately I made a compo mistake as the virtual legs were cut. Beautiful lights here.
Don't worry about the vertical crop :) It is still fine.

An absolute classic Marko, PS work especially impressive.

Posture: As graceful as a ballerina
    Sharpness: Tack sharp
    Composition: Spot on
    Background: they don't come better

No nits from me, well done!

You have fantastic light there Marco. And the bird's got such elegant pose. The only thing I find a little distracting is the out of focus spots in both bottom corners.

That is some gorgeous light! Love the beautiful pose and bg colors. I would agree with the suggestions to remove the oof reflections in both bottom corners.
