Black Winged Stilt - shot in the early morning golden light.

Purposely cut the reflection as it just wasn't very strong (Ok at the start but faded away to nothing)
I hadn't been able to capture the fantastic eyes on these little guys in the past, nothing done to the eye other than sharpened a tad.

Handheld - yep its real heavy.

Hope the whites are not to hot - I like to push then to the edge :)

    All commenst appreciated.

Nicely done Lance! Don't see you on Wild and Free all that often; you should spend more time here! Like the pose, the light, and the water. In particular, I like how you can see the entire ring of ripples. BG is like a painting. Well done! Did you hand hold this one too? :D

The whites looks fine to me but I think some dark areas lack details. I am sure that if you go to the RAW file and process this dark areas selectively you would add a lot of more details to this fantastic image.

    Good job again, Lance !

IMO, not every pic posted here is better than those on the ETL forum.
