This is to show you how simple a composite can be.
I opened a lake full of Flamingos that Gina photographed in Keny, Africa
Then I opened Gambel's Quail I photographe in our back yard. With Quail selected, I pressed "V" (Move) and moved Quail to where I wanted it on Lake photo. Now have BG (Lake) and Quail as layers. I selectedQuail layer, and clicked on "Background Eraser" which quickly erased around Quail. With fine tuning done, I press "E" and erased rest of background of Quail. Then I clicked reverse pryamid on right top of layers window and clicked flatten Image. I then clicked Black & White Adjustment Icon, clicked Curves, when open I pressed "Preset down arrow" and selected "Linear Contrast (RGB)". Which I adjusted slightly. Selected top point & then pressed up arrow to lighten & selected bottom point and pressed down arrow to darken. Ended up clicking Filter >Sharpen> USMask and making very light sharpen
I like it Gus !!! A good example thanks for the details
Something that you can try with these images are blending modes Just go through all of them and usually there is one that will do something special !!! btw I like your placement for the foreground bird very much !!!
