    Taken earlier in the summer as we always have a high number of these birds and other Tern species
    here at the wetlands during the spring/summer.

    Terrific job with the exposure and sharpness Jim! Nice eye contact too. The tip of the bill gets a little lost in the BG, but it's an excellent image.

    Gorgeous portrait Jim and I love the excellent detail and especially around the eyes . They just pop out. Wonderful exposure and BG too. Great work !!!

    I love it, everything commented above is right, exposire, light, sharpness and eye contect are great, I might've lightened the BG just a little bit so that the bill and black feather of the head don't get lost in the BG. Still, big congrats, it is terrific shot!

    Very nice portrait image with excellent exposure James. IMO composition wise I feel a slight crop from the right would improve this presentation.
