Lorri and I returnded last night from the 2008 Images For Conservation Pro Tour Contest awards banquet which was held in Victoria Texas. It was a great event and very well attended The quality of the imagery was great and the printing was outstanding. I tried hard and again managed a 2nd place finish as in the 1st contest in 06. We were very pleased with the finish since my ranch was probably the most challenging of all due to a number of factors.. Rolf Nussbaumer was the winner again. He's an excellent photographer and a tireless worker. The final results were very close less than one point per image seperated Rolf and I.
Grand Prize was determined by total points from your 60 image portfolio with each image having a possible 30 points. 1st through 10th place payed out. In addition 100 images, the top 20 from each catagory, were also awarded a $500 bonus. I had 18 award winning images dsplayed.
BPN did well Jasper Doest was in attendance and finished in 5th place and Jason Hahn took 4th place but was unable to attend. Maressa Pryor was also there and we had a nice visit.
