Another beautiful little shorebird I had never seen before and managed to photograph in Churchill, Manitoba. I found several but this was the only one I could photograph showing those incredible long legs - all the others insisted in wading around, feeding in several inches of water. June 3rd, 08

    Canon 1D Mk111 500 f4 IS plus TC2. Exp. 1/1000 @ f11, exp. comp. plus 1/3, ISO 800
Photographed with a BLUBB on widow frame of vehicle - unf. couldn't get lower because of roadside vegetation.

Lovely bird in breeding plumage. IMO, a crop from the left and slight from the top to de-center your subject would be nice.

A real beauty I love the pose captured and the attentive look. I would be tempted to crop some off the top and left to put the bird higher in the frame. Well Done!

Very nice, great details in the feathers here. The crop suggestion makes sense.

Beautiful individual you got here! Exposure and sharpness look great...only the suggested tweaks to the comp is in order :-)

Quite the stunning bird--bummer on the stuff around its feet. I'd be hard at work with some QMs. We did find a nest of this species one year many years ago. Super sharp also.
