    Homework Assignment:)

Shot this pic this morning. More rain...yukkkk

Exposed the sky at -1 EV
Exposed the land at 0 EV

    No cropping, some sharpening.

Combined the two images and erased. Merged together. Looked boring, Did a linear burn and had fun with the eraser.
Don't really like the pic but I learned a lot about proper exposure:) and had fun..........

What don't you like about this, Jackie? I think it's beautiful, caught my eye right away! The road and curve leads the eye to the cliffs and then to the lovely sort of starburst pattern of the clouds and water and the nice reflection. What's not to like?? (-:

I like it a lot Jackie and the PS work is excellent !!! A great tool for making images which otherwise would be impossible !!!!

Composition is strong and like how my eye is drawn around the image being led by light. Reflections look good and enhance the image !!! Big Congrats !!

Hi Jackie - congrats I like this one too.

Would have liked the tree line across the top of the ridge a little lighter - maybe.
    Just my two cents.

    Hi Jackie,
I love it too - especially the quality of light on the water and the look of the clouds. It hasn't stopped raining here either...I don't know where it all comes from...:(:(
    Regards,

i like it too!!! it just needs a little CW rotation and that's it! at least you know where you can go again to maybe take advantage of some more dramatic light and sky.

nice job. i really like it!!

Harold how can it need rotation? I had a level on my camera and a built in level on my tripod????:)
Thank You for your comments. I am so glad I joined this forum, everybody at work is getting sick of me showing them my pics.:) And I am getting really good constructive criticism here. And also learning a lot from reading the other critiques. THANKS!!!!!

jackie, the people at your work dont like your pics? they dont know what they would be missing if they stopped looking at them!!!!!!

as far as the level, the only true tell is the left side of the frame on the horizon. you can scroll down to it or up to it on your browser and see it's not level. really close. another thought is that maybe you did have it level and there's some barrel distortion there. hard to tell since the water line moves throught the frame as it does.

    Thanks Gus,
I appreciate your comments. I am not a big group joiner, but felt so encouraged by Arthur's BAA bulletin "tone" that I joined. I have not been disappointed and there is really some great info here if you read the posts and go in to other forums. A really positive experience! I really feel that we do help each other.

A composite. Played around with the flower image from a previous post and constructed this image.
