Captured yesterday in Tampa Bay aboard the Hooptie Deux with Mr James Shadle. This is supposed to be the off season!! and there were birds everywhere!! These two terns started feuding and it got to be quite hilarious til the one finally flew away and went to get some food!

    D300, Bigma at 500mm, f/9, 1/2000s, -0.7EV, ISO 400

Big Thanks to James for a fantastic day!! A must trip for everyone!! You will have the time of your life!!

thanks for looking and comments and critiques are much appreciated!!

Nice anecdote and shot, the poses and light are great as is exposure, maybe I would've removed the dark "ship"? in the BG, still I great shot! Congratulationds!

Very nice behavior image. I like the details and and exposure control. Another vote for cloning out the dark patch in the upper right.

    Hi Harold,
Killer image my friend - might have to move back to Florida to find some birds...
Possibly agree about cloning out the dark splodge. Good to see you posting with the grown-ups...:D
    Best regards,
    Nicki

thanks everyone. the dark blob is a row of trees. should i possibly saturate the greens to make them more prominent?

Nice capture and good exposure. Another vote for getting rid of the dark area of trees in the upper right corner.

:)) Look at the sorry face of the bird on right. Nice interaction between the individuals. The BG seems noisy.

    Hi Harold,
    I wouldn't saturate those greens - I'd lose 'em...

Very nice, quality behavioural image, caught at just the right moment. Regarding the BG - keep it simple and get rid of the trees!

Cute interaction captured. Always love the behaviors of terns. Agree that cloning out the top right dark patch will make it nicer.

What great interaction, caught at just the right instant.
Excellent exposure and composition. Agreed on cloning out the upper right dark spot.
While your cutline is great, this one would make for a fun caption-writing contest!
