    Default Kingfisher

    Hi

A kingfisher photo that I took last week while visiting a wetland naturereserve Apparently the post it is sitting on up to a few weeks ago had a no fishing sign on it which would have produced an interesting image. The grey background is the water behind reflecting the UK cloudy skies!

    Taken with 1Dmk3 and 500mm lens with 1.4TC at ISO 400, F7.1 +1EV and 1/500s

    Cheers

Thanks for the replies. The photo was taken from a public hide so I guess the small raise in the shade of the birds eye may be a tree behind the flat roofed hide.

As for the UK weather we have been having for the past few weeks, its enough to make you want to emigrate. In fact I would be grateful if someone could remind me what the sun looks like!

    Cheers
