Default Short Billed Dowitcher strolling on the beach

Captured this morning on Captiva Island. Canon 1DsMII, 600mm f.4, f/4, ISO 200, 1/4000, 0 EV, Lying in the sand using my small backpack as support.

I liked the BG and the raised foot/walking action on this one.

LOL - I need to sharpen your monitor :D:D

I'll tweak the sharpening a bit and repost. Thanks Maxis!

Great pose Bob! Another vote for more sharpening.

A little soft in my monitor too but that is just a PP issue so for what it might look like in Hi_res, CONGRATULATIONS! A bit, just a bit more SAT could work too.

By now you know that it needs a bit more sharpening, but that is very easily remedied. The BG is particularly nice, and I really like the pose. Nice low perspective and clean foreground add a lot to this nice image. Well done.

Really lovely capture Bob and great low angle and the action you captured in this image is very nice. Excellent timing and a great BG. Fine work !!!
