    This guy was not being too cooperative today, actually Gus and Alberto kept calling him to see if he would turn completely. Light was very harsh today at Metro Zoo. Converted to BW by de-saturating and playing around with contrast.

    Nikon D300
    Sigma 300mm 2.8 w/1.4tc
    Focal Length:420mm
    Fstop: f8
    Shutter:1/125
    ISO:400
    Exposure comp:-1
    Aperture priority
    Tripod assisted.

    Excellent Oscar,
    I like the expression on his face...:eek: You captured the mood very well...I did not think that he was going to be a good subject to photograph; but you proved me wrong...:D congrats...well done...:cool:

    Hey Oscar - Grumpy Old Men - love the expression. Looks good to me - zoo's are hard you have done really well to get such a good shot.

    whoa!!! dude, this is fantastic!!!! the b&w conversion was the perfect treatment!! i think nicki might be rubbing off on some of us! awesome capture, big congrats. you really created a mood here!!

    Hi Oscar,
    This is just fabulous!! He looks wise yet somewhat amused...great decision to do the conversion to B/W.
    Agree with Lance that zoos can be difficult - I went to Amsterdam zoo last week while I was on holiday and only took my 100-400 lens. Big mistake - I was just too close to most of the animals to be able to focus...:(
