    Hi Folks:

Took a run (in my car) today up Madera Canyon to Madera Kubo B&B to try for a better photo of the Calliope hummingbird I took yesterday . . . going back tomorrow.

On the way down I spotted this Red-tailed Hawk perched about 60' up on a power pole at about the 5 mile marker. Would have liked it at eye level, but better something than nothing so I ran off about a dozen shots to at least get an ID photo for the birders.

    Offering this photo for your usual kind C&C's . . . TIA. . . . Uncle Gus :D

Hi Uncle Gus - nice looking bird - sometimes you just have to take whats offered up :)

Like the head turn - exposure looks good.
    well done

    Uncle Gus,
Nice capture. I like the blue sky and the head turn on your bird; details are sharp and the exposure is good...congrats...
