    Wow, look at that eye !

    First impression is it seems kind of dark to me. But it could be this dark when you shot this. And I'm assuming you keep quite a lot of background space is because of the reflection?

    The spoon looks sharp.

    One thing I'm not sure though is, is that color noise in the background?

    First thing I did was recrop it. I removed the reflection because it doesn't
    really add anything to the photo, especially since the reflection is very
    well defined.

    It could probably use just a little more room on the right.

    The second thing I did was play around with Curves a little to bring out
    more of the color of the Spoonbill.

    I didn't touch the noise though and the white eye (which I'm guessing
    is from a flash?).

    Hi Maurice - like the pose. Dougs repost works better for me.

    Just need to fix the eye - does seem to be some noise.

    I love it with the reflection in the water. Is the lighting a bit flat. Would upping the contrast a bit help. I like the crop as presented.
