    I make this shot at a private farm at South Florida @ 8/30/2008.
    I have no other pictures, probably they went to trash the trash bin before I realize that several angles will help on ID.

    If you accept that this is a juvenile, then ID is fairly straightforward from the date alone. Juvenile LBD migrate south much later than SBD. They don't normally reach the Atlantic coast until mid September with a peak in October. This is the reason far more LBD have occurred in the UK (184) than SBD (1) as the are blown across the ocean by Autumn (Fall) storms.

    Plumage details, i.e. bright colours, 'tiger-stripes' in tertials/coverts & obvious chestnut cap are all SBD clinchers.
