    I like it very much, I wonder how would it have looked with a vertical compo includind the reflection, a lower angle would've helped but probably cost you that nice BG, so still as is it looks great, pose and BG are very nice! Congratulations!

    Very nice pose and perch, and good composition. The water color is pretty, but I find the vertical reflections of the sticks in the water distracting, especially the one that leads down from the birds tail. Not much you could do about that though! Good exposure control.

    Nice image! I do see a compositional problem though, and that is having the subject more or less in the center of the image. This is generally does not make the image dynamic, unless there are strong symmetrical elements. Off setting the subject, perhaps using the rule of thirds as a guide, probably would create a better image. A vertical composition, as Ramon suggested, is definitely called for when you encounter a similar set up with bird and background. The added bonus it that you can include a complete reflection that would be clipped with horizontal framing. regards~Bill
