    This was taken from the car in early morning light. Although natural perches are my preference, nothing reveals more of the bird's anatomy than these wire shots, I love the unobstructed view and lack of shadows with these perches. BG is weeds and grasses.

    Great pose, beautiful light and, I don't know why but I am kind of partial to barbed wire.

    Well done Laura.
    I like thesharp details and vibrant colors. The bird is placed just right in frame, and the head angle and eye contact is perfect...goos show...:cool:

    A beautiful bird. You certainly find the rich BG colors to compliment the birds....and I love the barbed wire. It's just a preference but I might be tempted to move the bird a bit more to the right in the frame. He's not in the center now but I like to give him about 2X the amount of room to look into as what's behind. With his head a leaning a bit forward I want to give him that room. Well done on an outstanding image.

    Excellent capture Laura with wonderful color and so sharp right down to it's feet. Excellent detail and a killer BG.

    Terrific light and a lot of detaiuls in the plumage. love that green BG and the way it compliments the blue feathers of this beauty. Very well done Laura
