    This image was taken a month ago as I was shooting these birds looking for sand crabs
    and liked the pose captured and subtle background.

    Nice one. Like the colours. I am always fascinated with the long beak of the Godwits. I like the raised left leg

    Superb image James James. I like a lot the pose of the bird with the raised leg and the head lowered, in search for prey items. The light is nice but a bit intense to my taste, not sure, maybe you would tone down a bit the BG and surroundings of the bird to make the godwit pup up from the BG. Just an idea but I will try to play with your image in PS if you do not mind.

    I agree with you, the subte clean bg is lovely, I especially like this hunting pose and the raised foot. Composition, sharp detail and soft light all make this shot a winner.

    Pose, light and BG are outstading, light is superb and sharpness is great, love the compo and as linda said, the raiseed foot. Congratulations, no nits for me here!

    Really nice and sharp image. The BG is very good too. Pose and colors right on.

    This is absolutely nice. Very interesting to see the different color tones of moulted fresh and worn feathers.
    The soft bg makes it very pleasant.

    i love the vibrant pink beak.. a really nice pose. I would rotate it cw just a tad... love the oof fg & bg.
