I took this picture a few years ago at The Nature Conservancy's Tallgrass Prairie Preserve in northern Oklahoma. It was early spring and the bison were grazing on the fresh sprouts that were popping up after a prescribed fire the previous fall (that's why the grass is so short). I took the picture with a Nikon Coolpix 5700 -- it's the camera that got me really hooked on digital photography and led me to an SLR. Anyway, it's still one of my favorites.

Good looking light on the bison and prairie. Color saturation on the spring growth makes the image glow. You left more room in front of the herd and that's good.

Lovely scene overall Mike. I think we all started out digital photography with a point& shoot model;)
