Taken at the Sanibel pier early in the morning as the birds were gathering for the fishermen to throw them a fish or two. This little Royal was having a rest and gave me an opportunity to get up close.

I will never get tirede of these majestic birds, I love them! Light, BG, head turn and sharpness looks great, I see a little hot white in the back of his/her head that could be recovered, other than that, very nice shot! Congratulations!

Sweet comp, light and details, but as Ramon suggests there seems a little hot patch of white at the back of the head. Great image.

Really like the detail in the beak Judy! I can't remember a thread with so many positive comments about beak detail, but they're well-deserved here.
