    Default Heron on a cliff

It's been raining heavily over the past few days so the lighting has been pretty dismal. Decided to take a walk down to the foreshore with my camera and was pleasantly surprised to see a small flock of white and blue Herons. Here's one of a little White standing on a cliff edge in difficult late evening overcast conditions:

    1DMk3, 100-400L IS, 1.5x TC, 1/400, f5.6, ISO 800, Handheld

    Thanks for looking, C&C welome!

    William

Hi William, good pose and good composition! There is only too much noise in the picture. Is it a heavy crop? Or too much sharpening? May be you can do some NR?

I like the light, BG and reflection of the rock in the plumage. I wish for a higher angle to be able to see the feet.

A lovely crisp, well exposed image, and a nice pose William, only thing missing are the feet.
