I have been using CS3 for about a year and a half. I am not sure if I will upgrade right away. Of course if the new cameras announced and shipped after October 1 are only supported by CS4 then I guess we all will be pressured to upgrade if and when we purchase a new camera. I am also assuming that there will be a upgrade version at a price less than the full price?

Sheesh! I might just start skipping a version unless there is something in this upgrade I just can't do without.

The new round of cameras will likely be supported in CS3...if they are not, then I think we should revolt!! ;-) These upgrades are not cheap and to be quite honest I don't think I'd be missing much if I went back to plain old CS. Thanks for the heads up James.
