    This bird (together with a few hundred others) was in the same spot as the Least sandpiper I posted this time yesterday. Hope the bg and shadows on the rocks aren't too distracting. I thought the two birds made for a nice comparison.

    D300, Tamron 200-500, 1/2000, f6.3, ISO800.

    Nice eye contact and details in the back. The light looks a bit harsh and I would selectively sharpen the head some more.

    Very nice composition and pose. I agree a little more sharpening aroun the head area would strengthen this capture. Thanks for sharing Richard.
