    A wonderful sunset at MINWR provided the chance to work with some different silhouette images.
    D2X, 200-400 VR w/1.4TC @ 550mm, f/11 @ 1/2500sec, iso 400

    Looks like a tad bit oversharpened, but the base image is freaky good. The vertical panoarama crop, nice color on the bg, and interesting stance all go together perfectly.

    Rich, great composition and exposure. The sharpening's already been mentioned. Easiest-to-see halos are on the back of the bird's neck and its throat just below the bill.

    I love the vertical pano crop, and wonder how it would look at your current height but with a bit more room on the right.

    I also think cleaning up some of the small specks of detritus in the water might make the effect even more pleasing, but that last statement is fine grit indeed.
