Very cool image! I like the walking pose, angle, setting and BG but the piece of food in the beak puts it overt the top for me. I might add a tad more room at the left side and remove the BG noise. You could try to sharpen the bird a bit less, especially in the shadows in order to keep the noise level down.

The right leg in the air with those talons on display...Love that. Noise is evident. The aperture of f10 has helped. The bright red piece in its beak is a real bonus. You caught it in the right moment. Thanks for sharing.

Axel I changed the Compo slightly, educed BG noise as best I can, but some noise on darker feathers is a problem, it ruins the feather texture. Hope there is some improvement.

Noise and composition look much better! The noise in the shadows always is a tricky thing. Sometimes I use 'smart sharpen' in CS3 in advanced mode and select about 5-10% fade amount in order not to sharpen the noise.

Great shot Loukie, lovely light, pose, BG. Is this the same individual as your last Vereaux/Black eagle post or were there a few there?

It is all good - and the bit of food is terrific, but that leg up is what actually "stands out" for me.

Awesome Image! I love the raised foot and surrounding habitat that bg is also very nice in complimenting the colors in the bird.
