One of the experiences that I enjoy most in the Kruger National Park is to walk around at the picnic spots and camps with my tripod, Manfrotto 501 video head, 500mm + 1.4 ext and Better Beamer to capture small birds. This White-browed Robin-chat posed very obligingly at the Pafuri picnic spot.

Thanks for the comments guys. Peter, I'm not sure, it has always seemed blue-greyish to me in the field (?)

I had the opportunity to photograph this species olso bud at de Natal Midlands. I agree with Peter that the back looks verry grey:) One way or the other...i like this picture verry much just the way it is.

It looks really fine and what a cute bird! I like a lot the nice balance between the green BG and the blue/yellow plumage. The only thing I do not like a lot is the perch.

Very nice Chris. Only wish the bird had turned its head more towards you a bit.

Beautiful bird and great capture. I like the details and exposure control. Maybe a slightly higher color temperature? The white stripe above the eye looks slightly blueish on my monitor.

Like Robert I feel the perch isn't the best but still it looks very natural so it is ok with me. Love the colours, BG and contrast here. Would wish for just a bit more headturn towards the viewer! Lovely shot nonetheless

great Chris , really pops from the BG with the flash fill. Fine with the perch, it's typical of the environment but maybe some subtle burning would tone it down a bit

Thanks for the comments guys. Indeed the perch is not the best, Tony I agree, it probably needs more contrast.
