Been a while since i last posted here...sorry for my absence but work is still consuming me and i hardly have time to go out and shoot.
Here's a Kingfisher i shot during one of the many 14 hour sessions i spend at their nesting site last spring.
Here daddy Kingfisher is prepairing a Froglet for the youngsters who are about to fly out but still inside the nest.

Amazing action captured in this image. Perfect timing! Very good pose and head angle, and nice bg. Is that a natural perch? I wish the end were not cut off. I wonder if the birds would accept a more photogenic perch in its place. Beautiful detail and exposure control. Well done.
The KF is excellent and so is the action very very well done on that part. This looks a bit oversharpened on my screen especially on the back, and I am not a big fan of the perch comming to towards the viewer like this but that is highly personal. Excellent shot all together that I am still dreaming of getting, well done!
