Tyson is the "king of the Roost" at a local dam! He greets you by hoping into the car and looking for food, then follows one around the whole area eagerly chasing away anything that ventures into range (including the Jacana!) He loved his new perch - on MY back!!! nearly causing himself to end up being the main ingredient for "coq au Vin" However I DID leave him crowing his challenge ready to meet the next unsuspecting visitors.;)

Cool capture Jeni and I loved the background history on Tyson. It certainly looks like he rules the roost. Many thanks for sharing him with us. I too would love to meet him one day !!!

Great photo and story. I can't help wondering if there's any intentional irony in Tyson's name, as this is the name of a major poultry producer here in the US....

    Thanks for posting!

Thanks for comments - Amy , having met the Picnic Spot/ Dam Manager I seriously doubt that he would have any knowledge other than that of Mike Tyson!!:D:D And the darn bird's attitude matches with that one!!;)

Hmmm.....and I was thinking along the line of "Kentucky Fried Tyson". Good looking bird.....even though he's not extra crispy.

Cool bird and story. I'm glad he didn't end up in a pot with wine around him. :)

I would like to start a poll.
How many "bird photographers" have an image of a chicken?
