Default Yellow Water Lily In My Pond

This is another yellow water lily in my pond. The yellows are hard to get right. The BG is the pond water with a polarizer used to avoid reflections.

    How did I do?

1DMK2 with 100-400 at 250 with 20mm extension tube. Center weighted Average metering at ISO 200 with EV -2/3 and f 5.6 and 1/250 hand held in early morning light. Slight crop from bottom.

Thanks for looking. All comments most welcome.

    Hey Ed,

First off, very nice composition. And the whites look good to me. It may just be my tired eyes but the leaf at the bottom of the stem looks sharper to me than the flower petals. May just be me.

Hey Ed, nice comp, and good details on the flower. The flower pops well against the dark BG.

Lovely composition, Ed, but I wouldn't mind seeing a little less on top and a little bit more down below. The flower is nicely done (although maybe a tad soft?) and the pad at the bottom of the stem is really lovely.
