This image was captured close to the Sanibel pier just as the sun was going down. The light was golden and the GBH had is work cut out for him with this fish

One lucky bird and one lucky photographer :)

Good light, compo and exposure. I'd probably rotate a bit CW for easier viewing.

Great picture, nice light, color and DOF. Only wish the fish was heading the other direction. Again beautiful shot.

Besides what Fab said, I would add a little more sharpening. Amazing they can eat so much!! :)

Great shot, the light is superb, the natural moment could be better specially with such a big catch, I wish the head was a bit sharper but other than that, I just love it! Congratulations!

Love the proud pose and the gorgeous light. I would sharpen a bit more.

A very nice bird and very proud of his catch I'm sure! A little bit more of sharpness would be fine IMO.

    Hi Bill

Thanks for your comments and to answer your question. He was a marvelous model and I had the privelge of watching him throw it down and spearing it and then eventually swallowing it. A great experince and incredible to think that such a small throat could accomodate such a big fish !!!!
