We don't have this species in northern Minnesota, so I was eager to try for some photos when we recently took our daughter back to college in Indiana. After crawling on my belly up to the edge of a small pond, I was pleasantly astonished to see this scene right in front of me. I've heard that bullfrogs will eat anything that will fit in their mouth and I guess this image demonstrates that. The food item (still alive, by the way :( ) is a green frog, I think. 40D, 300 f/4, 1/640, f/8, ISO 400, fill flash at -1.5. I removed the flash-generated catchlight and a few distracting background elements. Comments are welcome.
