    Default Purple Rumped Sunbird

Unfortunately it was not on a natural perch, but I loved the colours of the bird and the complementing background. Photographed on the outskirts of Bangalore, South India. Your comments appreciated.

Tack sharp & excellent details Sudhir. Rich colours & lovely bokeh to go with. I understand u were trying to avoid the perch but personally I wud've liked a little more space in the bottom.

Great shot, Sudhir. I agree about more space below but understand trying to minimise the perch. Lovely colour palette. Wish for a little more detail in the dark tones - have used Shadow/highlight to try and achieve this but some fill flash and a Better Beamer may be a better option. Look forward to more from that monster lens of yours:D

stunning image Sudhir ... incredible colours, maybe a little over saturated, But I cannot say that with conviction, since I have never seem the bird. Maybe some off the top would help the composition.

Awesome image Sudhir - I like the Tony's repost as it makes the eye stand out much better and sheds some light on the areas under the eye. Great post!!!

Wow, what a bird! Stunning with clean BG, the colors look also a bit overdone to me, judging by the BG. The lighter repost looks wonderful. Keep them coming!

What a gorgeous bird! Excellent pose and the bg is so complimentary. The image does seem a bit oversaturated. Fill flash with a Better Beamer would have brought out more detail in the darker areas and improved the iridescense.

Terrific image quality with such a focal lens and very cute bird. I agree about the need for more room at the bottom. Tony´s repost is an improve on a very nice image
