Chestnut-breasted Coronets on perch at 7 flash set-up. Canon 500mm f/4 IS lens and a Canon EOS-1D Mark II N mounted on a tripod. ISO 250. Manual mode: 1/250 sec. at f/16. Guango Lodge, Ecuador,

You can capture fun interactions of hummingbirds by placing a perch at your set-up. Constant posturing and squabbling are fun and interesting to watch and photograph,

What a beauty. Just to get one would have been great but two is amazing. Sounds like way too much work with 7 flashes but the product is great.

The effort of using the 7 flashes has produced a great image. I have normally seen that kind of a setup being used for a single bird. But getting two in a playful mood is awesome. The exposure, details, action, bg, perch - everything is so perfect. A lovely image indeed.

This is for the moderators - When I place my mouse on the image, I see a message stating "Click Image for larger Version" , but nothing happens when I click. Is it something to do with my browser settings or is it a bug ?

    Regards,
    Sudhir

Impressive as always Linda! As you say these guys are very fun and some times they like to ''fight'' may be just want to get the best part on the perch or the feeder, who knows? hummingbird matters!

Amazing stuff. Little bit more room would have been nice. You have completely mastered shooting these little beauties.
