    Stephen,

    I like the idea here, the bird and the buffalo. Great detail in the buffalo and the warm light is inviting. The image feels unbalanced to me. I would like to see the bird and eye in a RoT placement. My repost added canvas and placed a RoT cropping gird to demonstrate what I mean. The horns are very heavy and act as a fulcrum between the smaller bird and eye. A RoT placement balances it out IMO. Of course, you could place the bird and eye at the power points.

    Robert has got a good point here regarding the application of the ROT. (A great idea to explain it like this Robert!) Apart from the imbalance I just feel that the chosen crop below the eye of the buffalo does not work well, even if it would be composed withe ROT in mind. I guess the oxpecker was sitting in the wrong position to create a very pleasing tight comp, as for example on its ear, horn or nose...
