    I can confirm that this one is shy. So far I've not managed to get a good shot of this one, even in parks where there are many people and many jays.

    beautiful background and good head angle.

    I like the look back pose, soft light and BG. I would put the bird further to the right in the frame and try to get more details in the blacks by applying curves and/or S/H. Please post the techs. Keep them coming!

    Nice exposure, good muted backround and I like the head position. I might crop some off the right side of the image. I like having more room in the front of the subject rather than the back.

    I agree with Axel's comments . Love the wonderful color and detail as well as a good head tilt . Eye contact is very nice and a lovely BG. Many thanks for sharing Chris !!

    I like the look-back pose, the perch, and the BG. I agree that the bird needs to be further right in the frame. Thanks for posting!

    A beautiful subject, nice pose, and sharp detail. Centered bird mentioned. A very nice image of a difficult bird!

    Lovely bird and very nice BG. The head turn worked very well here.
