Sorry folks, another swallow shot :o

    D300 70-300 VR; ISO 200 f8 1/250 sec., aperture priority; no flash (Ooops ! )

The swallow on the left was perching, looking around. The swallow on the right approached. And then, what you see is what happened next.

I love the action, but...is this shot salvageable ?

    Thanks for looking !!

Hi desmond - Tough one IMHO - love the action.... But...

Its under exposed, shutter speed wasn't fast enough to freeze the action (If thats what you wanted) and the bird on the left has the perch cutting though its body and beak - which is distracting.....
    Just my two cents.....

Don't mind the slow shutter speed at all but do the under exposure. Wish the branch was not in front of the left bird. Can see the possibilities and do like them. Very good thinking Desmond !!!!

    Hi Desmond,
I like the concept, agree with Mr. Forns, reference to the under exposure. I would kick up your shutter speed a bit and clone out the branch thats covering your bird to the left...

cool capture!! love the action. if you could clone out the branch to just underneath the lower beak, it would be better. thanks for sharing. it's humorous at the least!!!
