    I have had more Spotted (Thanks Bruce) Towhees come to my feeder lately than i know what to do with. So here is another attempt at one. He was just about to make the short hop to my feeder from a small piece of a redwood snag.

    Canon 10D
    Canon 100-400 IS @ 275mm
    ISO 400
    1/1500 @ F5.6 should shut down a little for more DOF
    Aperature Priority
    Manfrotto tripod and a Bogen Heavy duty ballhead
    Canon shutter release

    very nice image Chris, looks like the bg could use some noise reduction imo. I like your chioce of composition, very cool.

    Pose, perch, BG and light are great! I agree regarding NR on the BG and might sharpen the perch a tad less.

    Very beautiful image - sharp & with lots of details. Liked the composition too. The BG looks pretty noisy (already mentioned by Raymond & Axel).

    Perch, pose, BG, colours and details are great, I can see some noise and the light seems a bit harsh, but overall I love it! Congratulaitons!
