Hi Dave - welcome to the BPN Family :)

I like the nice clean perch, head angle and pose are also good.
Bird looks a little soft on my monitor - I tried sharpening a little, to no avail.

Front half of the bird is sharper than the back half - which tells me not enough DOF, looks like you needed to stop down some more.

Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Big Warm Welcome Dave !!!!

...... you should be out photographing puffins and gannets !!!!! :) Sure had fun over there this summer !!!

I like the hanging pose and clean bg I think the focus is on the feet, they sure look sharp. Try composing on the eyes and you can get away with making the image wide open. Would like seeing the image a little brighter, original might be under just a bit. Good placement in frame and great head angle. Looking forward to many more.
