went down to the beach this afternoon to see if there were any good waves due to all the hurricanes in the area and low and behold, there were birds!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D:D:D all kinds of shorebirds and this skimmer which i have never seen in this area!! he must have been tired because he was sleeping a lot.

i'm not going to make any more comments here. i want to hear what you guys have to say about this one without me saying anything.

now, that is what I call a low angle! :D
It looks sharp to me, and you still have details in the blacks and whites! The cropping certainly fits the shape of the bird, but it "feels" crowded to me. Nice image!

    Dr. Daktari,
I like your composition very much. Its a wee bit soft around the eyes. I modified it just a tad to bring out his best feature. His length...:D:) See if you like...

Hi Mr H. Nice bird - Lost in the Hurricane??

Love the BG and the low angle.
I feel it needs some CW rotation - Also would consider geting rid of the OOF seaweed - maybe.

    :)

I like it Harold Its a Juvi and one beat up at that !!!!

Love the low angle and bg. Bird being wet looks kind of neat. Would like to see a little more shadow detail particularly in the tail area. I like what Gus did in making it more of a pano and making the eye more visible !!!

Way to get low Harold! Gus' repost improves your already fine image. Fill flash or a little more + EC would have helped bring out a little more detail. You were definitely on the right track shooting at +0.7 EC!

Good one H. IMPO I like the original one better. At least on my monitor it seems more natural.
    Junst my 2 cents worth.
