Hey D.Bob, Amazing light, perch, and BKGR. And a great subject. Love the COMP too. The head turn away is unfortunate. Was this at a set-up? If yes, what was the bird coming for?

Thanks Artie... This was from a blind I had feed and water flycatchers were coming for the insects near the water...

Simply awesome. Very nice soft and gentle light. The perch and BG works very well and the head turn goes well with the composition.

    Excellent work!

    Hi D Robert,
that is one beautiful perch and subject. Even though it is ever so slightly away.......I agree with Maxis that it flows very well with the comp.

Beautiful image. I agree that a better head turn would have helped. However, excellent image.

All that's missing from this excellent photo is a bit more eye contact, as others have mentioned.

Yoo bad it didn't offer a better head angle...the only element missing for an otherwise perfect image! :-)

NIce and soft light. I love this bird. Fine set up. Next time you may be more lucky with the head angle. But it's a very nice portrait.

Love the composition, image and capture. Your details and colors are superb. The background compliments your subject very well. I also like the perch...good show...

This is just stunning for me. The head turn is a minor issue as far as I'm concerned

Top notch! I agree with what others have said. The BG is what stands out primarily for me on this image.

I agree that he is looking a bit away from you, but everything else is just simply outstanding!

Totally fantastic. Love the light, bg, detail, size of leave on the perch and angles of the branch, and the colors of the image really make the breast stand out and the yellow sing. Sweet shot.
