Well done, Kathy! You nailed that butterfly!!! I'd cut a small bit off the left side and the top to delete a little of the negative space and then I'd frame that baby!

I think the colors and the sharpness are very good. As far as the composition goes, I have reservation about it. I am guessing you also intentionally tilted the shot? It will also be better if the butterfly angled more towards the sensor plane. My 2 cents.

Agree with the Bfly looking more our way but the main thing I see is the overlapping with the bg flower. Sure would like seeing separation. The butterfly, flowers and bg look so good !!! Excellent

Hi Kathy - love the colour and sharpness you have in this - well done.

Agree that in a perfect world angled more to the sensor would be good.

    keep them coming.:)

    Hi Kathy,
See if this crop works better for you. I did some cloning, and lightened up the dark spots on the wings...

    Hi Gus,

IMO, you cloned out too much. I liked the color in the bottom right, but maybe just the leaf that was being cut off could be cloned out. On my monitor, I can see a tell-tale line where you cloned. I think I prefer the ORIG compo. It would have been nice for the BG flower not to be there, but something seems to be missing (because it is) in the repost....

I prefer Gus's repost. To me, the original composition doesn't look right,...not natural...looks too arbitrarily tilted (if there's such a thing)...Anyhow, guess it's just me.
