Just a little guy, these get a nice big claw and will cross the road in a mass migration during breeding season. They have been known to cause flat tires. As adults they are a blue/purple color, but I liked this guy against the water. I created the ripples to add a little more to the photo but ended up with a bunch where the dark line ran through his eyes. Does this one work or is it still distracting?

    Looks very good Paul !!!

Everything is working well here, I like the careful framing with just a bit of the reflection, water colors is just fine and excellent pose for the crab. All good from my end !!!

Crabs looks very funny... It is very wellexposed and the low angle with the small wave in the background is perfect.... I dont see anything to complain about

I diffidently like the contrast of colors. Did you do one w/o the ripples? Though I don't have a problem with them here I think having him on a more uniform BG would be more appealing.

An excellent example of how color affects the image. The red really pops against the blue. Great low angle. A fine image for sure.....

The primary colours make it a very eye catching. Love the low angle. I like this picture. Would definitely wish to see one without the ripples. The reflection would be nice without the ripples, and the background would be uniform as well. Thanks for sharing.

Great crab image Paul. The pose is cool and the low angle emphasizes this. I don't feel the OOF ripple is a big nit here since it is clear what it is and fits the scene.

    Hi Paul,
Great angle and color. I may get rid of the ripple neaestr the head. I might actually prefer this with a smooth water BG as the color is strong enogh to pull it off. Very well composed.

Thanks for all the comments guys. For some reason, I never took a shot of it with the smooth water. I guess I could clone some color over the band and make it less pronounced.

    Thanks again,
    Paul
