    Taken at Don Edwards S.F.Bay National Wildlife Refuge... Cloned some branches and lightened the background...

    Canon 40D + Sigma 50-500 F4-6.5 APO DG HSM on Mongoose 3.5a
    ISO 400, 1/400 sec, 500mm at f9, exp comp. 0

    Very nice light and BG. I might clone out the branch on the left and add a bit more room at the right. The bird looks a bit soft on my monitor.

    How that beautiful bg compliments the bird's colors. Very nice pose and lovely light. I agree with Axel that the branch on the right detracts, and a little selective sharpening of the bird will improve this very nice image.

    Hi,
    I like the image and capture, I did a few modifications to your composition. The vertical branch to the left of your bird was distracting and taking the attention away from your subject, so I cloned it out. I gave you more room to the right of the frame for the tail, and also added more canvas to the left. I cropped the composition into a pano taking 1/4 from the bottom and from the top. Gave you a sprinkle of selective sharpening on the head, feet and upper wing section...:cool:

    I like the pastel tones, pose and detail. Also agree with removing the branch at left.
