Have finally had some opportunites to go and shoot last week and my desktop blewup.... Anyway this is from Baiting Hollow NY a nice gentleman allows us to shoot on his property. Natural light with single flash, BG is LI Sound on an overcast afternoon.
This is super in terms of comp, sharpness, exposure and detail of the bird (e.g., feet) The eye-area could be lightened a little to make it pop and the head angle is a shade too away from you. Can't decide if the leaves add or take away from the image. Overall though, marvelous.
You did a great job with this image. I like the flower....great color impact and form. I do wish you had pointed the camera down just a tad to include the tip of the forward leaf. The position of the bird is great, and I love the clean bg. I would lighten the face in PS. Lovely image. Well done!
